Principal Software Engineer, Project: SimMobility

Working in the Future Mobility department of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology has been an excellent career choice for me. I work with the brightest minds from MIT as well as partners in research institutes from around the world. I get to experiment with our very own High-Performance Computer. In the corporate world, legacy code-bases and a desire to support as many systems are possible greatly restricts the capability of engineers to experiment with the latest technologies. FM has none of that. Having a work environment that fosters innovation and welcomes robust and constructive criticisms has positively shaped my engineering skills.

Research Scientist, Project: Live! Singapore 2.0

During my formal education, while I was learning to become a Computer Scientist, I often felt like I’m learning a lot about different tools and algorithms, but lacked to see a broader picture where actually to apply my knowledge. What I like about working here in Future Urban Mobility is that I can make use of the previously acquired knowledge. I’m very excited to see how future transportation will develop and am extremely lucky that I can work in Singapore where improvements in transportation are made almost on a daily basis.
