It has been generally acknowledged that it is just a matter of time before autonomous vehicles (AV) technologies take over the control from human drivers. However, in current typical AV setups, they are equipped with dozens of ranging sensors, resulting in an overly-complex, high-cost and high power consuming system. This seminar elaborates the possibilities to achieve a more sustainable AV system through a minimum viable vision-based solution.
